Love Is Wonderful – Writer’s Hint

From time to time I’ll post a helpful hint for writers. They will always be labeled Writer’s Hint.  If you want to read more hints, drop into my writers blog. See link at right.

Love is wonderful, but not so much when you are trying to get it written on the page while making it sound new and enchanting.

This is what I do to rise above that block. I listen to music, preferably an old classic about love. For instance, I climbed out of a deep abyss of nothingness last night after I listened  to The Nearness of You. This trick works nearly every time. No I’m not condoning plagiarism. What I’m encouraging you to do is allow yourself to slide deeper into the mood of the scene and your mind will propel you forward.

Fashion 1920s Style

From time to time I’ll post items that I hope will be of interest. They will not always have to do with my stories; sometimes they will come out of the blue. But first up, this picture will give you an idea of how Natalie’s grandmother dressed when these events took place.

This is what my heroine in The Arrangement looked like in the 1920s. My how things have changed.
